OQ Technology, a global satellite narrowband IoT connectivity operator, has signed a contract with the European Space Agency for a feasibility study of Direct-to-Cell connectivity. The contract (named as MACSAT 2.0) is funded by the Luxembourg government under LuxImpulse program that aims to foster Luxembourg and European space initiatives through the national space program.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 15 May 2023 – iot squared, an Internet of things (IoT) technology company and a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and stc Group (stc), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OQ Technology, the world's first global satellite telecom operator for IoT connectivity using 5G protocol. The MoU was signed by Shabbab Al Ghamdi -Public IoT Solutions VP, and Omar Qaise, Founder and CEO of OQ Technology.

OQ Technology, the pioneer of 5G IoT (Internet of Things) satellite services, has announced the first commercial contract for using the world’s first constellation of LEO satellites to provide 5G coverage for IoT devices. The contract, close to 1 million EUR, is with an unnamed customer described as one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. The initial customer service package covers the year 2023 with the option for future extension plans.

California, USA, and Luxembourg, Europe, March 03, 2022 – Alif Semiconductor, a global provider of microcontrollers and fusion processors, and IoT satellite operator OQ Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a narrowband internet-of-things (NB-IoT) solution for hybrid terrestrial satellite networking. Cape Canaveral, 30.06.2021 - SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lift off successfully at 03:31 PM EDT (19:31 GMT) carrying 88 satellite within a rideshare mission known as Transporter-2. Among those satellites is OQ Technology's Tiger-2 satellite.
