OQ Technology is awarded a contract from the European Space Agency (ESA) and funded by Luxembourg Government under the national programme to develop an artificial intelligence based platform which aims to manage the IoT networks. It can monitor and learn customer network behaviours and assist in optimizing the connectivity to remote sites by adjusting the network parameters automatically and without human intervention. Using this tool customers can save up to 70% of the time and cost needed to develop conventional network optimization techniques. The project named SAMBA (SmArt Model Based Automatic architecture) will be designed and tested in a hosted cloud platform to demonstrate the viability of the AI functionality which willl be mainly based on neural networks and semantic recognition. The platform can be also useful in industrial production porcesses and satellite operations for optimization of flight control of multiple constellations. The contract value is 100,000 EUR. The duraiton of the project is 1 year and will be a baseline for future applications.
